On Saturday, August 28, 2010 the Clean Lakes Festival, sponsored by Lands' End, will take place at Olin Park on the shores of Lake Monona in Madison, WI. The one-day festival is free and open to the public. The festival will feature a variety of events that connect to the lakes, and that offer competitors, spectators and those that just want to give it a try, a chance to experience the fun and excitement of Madison's lakes Clean Lakes Festival is host to amazing events like wind surfing lessons and a barefoot skiing competition that will bring in some the nation's most competitive athletes. There will be live music throughout the day, an education center to provide information on preserving and improving our water resources and several fun, kid-friendly activities. Proceeds raised at the festival go toward long-term clean lake management projects for Dane County lakes and streams.
